Black Hawk

The True Story of the Black Hawk Down narrated by Mark Bowden who wrote the book Black Hawk Down (1999) based on Battle of Mogadishu
Where: Mogadishu, Somalia
When: October 3-4, 1993
What: The Black Hawks crashing
Context: Civil war with Somalian warlords fighting for control and the US trying to help Somalians
Who: The Americans, The Somalians, The Pakistanians
Why: Because the Americans killed some Somalians while trying to find *** and enraged the Somalians
How: The Somalians kept shooting their RPG and they got two Black Hawks to crash by hitting the tail router. Then the Somalians went to the crash site immediately to murder them. The Americans launched a rescue operation to save the soldiers.
Outcome: The Americans won the battle but lost the war. It gave nothing the outcome was just dying soldiers and more Somalian malitia.
