3-D Shapes

vocabulary: faces, edges, vertices, polyhedra, pyramid, prism

oragami cube: Wow! If we could have instructions as excellent as these for all of our projects.... We can't wait to try these out when we finish with our 2-D figures. A great blog.

Zoo made this soccer ball, which has 32 faces, 90 edges, and 60 vertices.
Paper models of polyhedra (a 3-d solid figure which is a collection of polygons, usually joined at their edges (from MathWorld))
